Today Arbor Metal Buildings poured the 3000 PSI concrete over the steel rebar we showed you a few days ago, for our customer’s 30’x50’ Shop slab. After a little curing time we will begin welding I-beams to the thick metal plates that we embedded into the concrete when we poured out the concrete at 6:00 AM this morning! It is always best to place the wet concrete into the forms early in the day before it gets overly hot outside and causes the concrete to set up too fast! The slower it dries the stronger it is. Notice the recesses we form into the concrete so that water doesn’t blow under your doors in a storm?
