This workshop may not be all that large but it works well for another one of our Arbor Building customers. It is part workshop for the husband and part storage for his wife. That way way everyone is happy! If you notice all the white powder on the ground it is because we had to excavate our concrete footing into solid rock. It sure isn’t going anywhere! This is just another example of how we aim to please. We could have suggested elevating the building about another 16″ when we constructed the dirt pad to avoid the rock. That would just cost our customer more money and would have made the building appear much to tall and large for the backyard! So instead we used a rock bucket on the backhoe and were able to excavate for our footings. We understand that a building is only as good as the foundation it is attached to. This is why we construct all our foundations as commercial duty and the same goes for the materials we use.

Here is an example of 8″ Red Iron roof purlins welded between 12″ I-Beams and spanning 25′ . The purlins are only spaced 5′ apart for maximum strength. This is how we get you a larger space between wall columns that will accomodate larger overhead doors on the side walls. Let us design and build you next steel building from the ground up!
